Galileo Vacuum Systems S.p.a. (GVS), an Italian company which is part of ‘Galileo Nanotech’ holding, has taken part in Chinaplas 2012, the largest plastics and rubber industry exhibition in Asia.

Galileo Vacuum Systems S.p.a. has been showcasing its metal spraying pistols for several years in a row at Chinaplas. Participating in this event is especially important to the company as China is one of the key markets for this equipment category.

GVS showed its equipment for vacuum roll-to-roll metallization of packaging paper and boards used in the tobacco industry and the metal spraying pistols for covering surfaces with a complex geometry.

The visitors were especially interested in GAMMA, a new multi-chamber metal spraying pistols. This equipment is unique for the market of highly productive roll-to-roll metal spraying pistols as it allows using rolls with a diameter up to 2 m. The metallization rate, which reaches 1000 m/mi, provides the equipment’s exceptionally high productivity.

The GAMMA multi-chamber machine was designed by GVS engineers for the tobacco industry, which uses vacuum metallized paper and board. This equipment can also metallize window films.

Chinaplas is the main annual exhibition of the polymer industry in Asia and takes place in China. In 2012, the exhibition was held at the Shanghai International Expo Center between April 18th and April 21st. Over 2,500 companies from around the world showcased their products at Chinaplas 2012. According to expert estimates, over 100,000 people visited the exhibition.
